Michele Banfield - I’ve been practicing yoga for almost 20 years and teaching regularly since 2009. My yoga has evolved significantly over the past 10 years to incorporate elements of therapeutics and most notably, whole body biomechanics (based on my ongoing studies with renowned biomechanist Katy Bowman). The classes I offer now are a blend of traditional yoga postures, functional and natural movement styles, and thoughtful and creative approaches to moving and feeling better in our bodies. I have a particular interest in healthy, functional feet and have been offering foot workshops in Dartmouth over the last few years.


Mondays, 730-830pm

"earth wind fire"

Each 'earth wind fire' class is a whole-body movement exploration with grounding and restorative movements (earth) and dynamic strength-building sequences (fire), incorporating breath (wind) as a foundational element of the whole practice. This class blends lots of non-traditional movement variation with yoga flow-type sequences, and closes with restful & restorative postures that will leave you feeling rejuvenated. Expect a moderate-intensity practice that can be modified to suit various needs - all-levels are welcome!
